Map Error: ‘Invalid data or no data found’

Could you please help me.
When I had 2007 map i had no problem bringing in .shp data now that we are on 2008 it gives me an error message .
‘Invalid data or no data found’
Or do you have anyone else with the same problem?
I am not sure if it is a CAD problem or GIS ?
Is there maybe a patch that I can run to resolve this type of error.

Your help will much appreciated.

Thanx Chanell

I also get the following srror when I try to import the file in Map 2009
"Duplicate Field name.....(drawing path)"

Can anybody tell me what the problem is?

No worries.....I actually resolved the issue.

For those who want to know,The error messages are due to incorrect naming of field names in the DBase (.dbf) part of the Shape data.
Incorrect, in that the field names exceeded the 10 character naming limit, and when truncated to the first 10 characters, resulted in “duplicate field names” or in 2008's case
‘Invalid data or no data found’
Once the no. off characters are changed the .shp file imports perfectly.....
