I'm sorry if you've come across this type of post numerous times.
So my users have:
Windows 7 Enterprise x64
Autodesk Map 3D 2011 x64 (network licensed)
ArcGIS 10 (network licensed)
(and if this is important to know, Microsoft Office 2010 x86)
They would like to open up info found in GDB/MDB files in Map3D 2011
I've downloaded FDO OGR Provider 3.5.0 for Windows x64 (tried using FDO Provider 3.6.0, but that doesn't work...that i guess works for Map 3D 2012).
I was able to create the connection (you see it as an option)
But when i try to connect to a GDB, i get an error:

Any suggestions as how i can get around this
(just so you know, i'm not proficient in CAD/GIS...i'm just the IT guy trying to help out the actual users of the progams)

If you want to connect to ESRI geodatabases in AutoCAD Map 3D, you basically have two options.
Option 1. Use the following instructions for the FDO OGR Provider
Use with Personal GDB
First create a System-ODBC connection to the MDB file in the Windows ODBC administrator. E.g. 'pgeo_somerset'.
Then add a new Data Connection to an OSGeo OGR Provider, and in the box for datasource put the exact format from the OGR documentation. In other words, use the “PGeo:” prefix and followed by the ODBC connection name. E.g.: PGeo: pgeo_somerset

Because this configuration relates to ODBC, I recommend that MS Office 32-bit be uninstalled, and MS Office 64-bit be installed.
Option 2. Use the following configuration:
For this option, the 32-bit configuration is necessary because ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 (and earlier) applications are natively 32-bit applications. See this page for more information:
