Can anyone tell me if I can import TIGER ASCII files into AutoCAD MAP3.

Hi David,

Not directly, no.

However there may be the option for importing the data using a script or AutoLISP file. If you would like to post a sample file on teh customer files group (and let me know), I'll take a look and see if anything can be done.

Hi David,

There was a message on the same topic in July. Search through the newsgroup for TIGER.

Basically, if you can get the data in Shapefiles, you can read it into Map, and not lose any functionality. I have done the same sort of thing for a client here in New Mexico. This data even has entries for addresses on the left and right side of a road, so you can do a little bit of address location with such data.
