First thing, TURN OFF CAPSLOCK.
When you use the layiso command there is an option named "Settings" this
controls if the other layers are not displayed or displayed as grayed out or
toned down. Used the layer isolate command and instead of selecting an
object type S then set it to your desire.

I AM USING MY LAYER ISOLATE BUTTON AND SLIDE BAR ON MY DASHBOARD, BUT WHEN I
ISOLATE A LAYER THE OTHER LAYERS GO AWAY COMPLETELY INSTEAD OF ADJUSTING? I
ALSO RUN AUTODESK LAND DESKTOP 2008 AND THE COMMAND WORKS FINE IN IT!
