Internal Error: ! dbapicls.cc 9

I have a drawing that a spent a bunch of time on over the last few days and
today when I went to open the drawing I get this error:

Internal Error: ! dbapicls.cc 9

I think it has either to do with the drawing being corrupt or my system
running out of memory.
Does anyone know what this problem is all about or how to recover from it.
AutoCAD keeps shutting down even after a proper computer shut down and
reboot.

Thanks

Lee

Lee,

this error can be caused by serveral things, for instance not recognized
proxy objects or an error in an AutoCAD or application code etc.
You could try to recover the drawing to see if that helps, but if this error
is coming up more often and with several drawings, I recommend to contact
your AutoCAD/Map reseller for a deeper analysis.

Thanks for the suggestion Marion but right now I don't have the time to run
around with AutoCAD resellers. I haven't had good experiences with them so
I don't want to waste my time. Right now I just want to figure a way to
recover my drawing.

I tried recovering from the backup file that I had yesterday but that keeps
shutting down AutoCAD as well. I am getting close to having to redo all the
work I have done. Maybe before that I will try a copy and paste to a new
drawing.

Here goes.

Copy and paste to a new drawing, then recovering seems to do the trick.

Thanks for the help.
