Importing .stp files

I am trying to import a .stp file using Map3d. I know I need to go to import, but there is no option for chosing a .stp file,

am I missing something????

I guess you can't, sir.

If you're in a hurry, zip and upload the .STP file here, ans someone will convert it for you.

You're not missing anything, Standard AutoCAD and Map3D do not support the STP format with out add-on(s).

I might of given out wrong info, the import of STP files was removed in some version but is back in the 2012/13 versions. So it depends on the version of Map3D you are using. Also if you post in the General AutoCAD forum you may get some help with it.

No, it's not included in Map3D, but you wrote that you have someone with plain AutoCAD ==> and that (at least with 2012 or 2013) can import stp-files.

You are correct, Was able to do it on his machine, just was hoping it would be able to be done with map3d. Maybe in the next version.
