Image Insert problem

I've being working with Autodesk map 5 (individual licence)for a long period, with no problems to report, until now. When I tried to insert an image (an ortophoto in my case)I got an exception message, as underwritten, and I'll appreciate any help to have it fixed.

The message:
Exception in: C\...\Autodesk map 5\AC MAP PAST EX 10.ARX ARX COMMAND
UNHANDLED EXCEPTION E06D7363 (e06d736h) AT ADRESS 77E9E8BBh

tks

Hello 'slowassis'

The file mentioned in the message is likely
AcMapRastEx10.arx...  not AcMapPastEx10.arx

Regardless... I recently had this happen to
me, and I believe it was caused by installing some other Autodesk software
(LandDesktop) which possibly installed/registered a newer version of the Raster
extension?

I ended up 'repairing' my install and it works fine
now.

Hope this helps.

Just out of curiosity, why did you have to install both Land and Map when
Map functionality is included in Land? I am just trying to understand why
such a setup is necessary.

Sriram,

I get a major crash when I open image options from the Raster menu
sometimes. I have Map6, but LDD3 only has Map5. There may be a bug since I
manage the memory for images often and could have done it in Map 5 or 6
which conflicts. Do you have Map6 and LDD?

Does anyone know why when I insert an image file into my model, then go to paper space and try to draw some stuff on the paper and over the model viewport, when it prints it will not show me any of the lines I have drawn over the viewport.

Hey there.

You are most likely having a display order problem. To fix this, select the images in model space (Map defaults to shift+click to do this), then send them to back with the Tools > Display Order > Send to back. If you cannot select the images try using Map > Image > Toggle frames ... Map seems a little buggy with selecting rasters sometimes. If this still does not work (this has indeed happened to me), select the features you drew and send them to front as above. Hope this helps.
