Export to Map Info

Have version 6.5 of Map Info and Autodesk Map Series 2004. I am trying(trying being the relative term)to export to Map Info. Everytime I go to import the MIF/MID into Map Info it says could not create table. Any info as to how to go from point A(Map) to point B(Map Info) would be helpful.

Hay there. It's really hard to say what is going on there, bu I do
cross-platform exchanges extremely often and can usually figure out what the
problem is. If you post your mif/mid file on the user files group
(accessible from the root of the newsgroup on Autodesk's support page), I
will be happy to take a look. Alternatively, you can e-mail it to me at

The problem is that the header info in Mid/Mif is incorrect when it comes
from Autocad. Take the header lines from a mid/mif file created by mapinfo,
replace the header info inthe Map created file, and it will work
