Exception in AcMapRastEx10.arx error w/ SID files

OK, this is a new problem. I've always been able to insert SID files into
Map 5... until now.

When I try to insert SID images now, even only one little 5MB aerial image
file, I get:

(Strangely enough, my "old" LizardTech MrSID standalone viewer can't open
these, either. I get an Access Violation error in there, too).


Is this particular dataset of SID images too new for Map 5 to handle?

Is there an updater for Map 5 to be able to insert newer SID files?
