Drawing Clean up - to help with stability

We just switched to Map 3D 2012 on win 7. We are having a terrible time with stability in our files. Does anyone have suggestions on what we can do to "clean" the files to possibly make them more stable?

We currently do Purge, -Purge(r), and audit.

Make a new icon, and paste inside it the following macro:

^C^C_-PURGE;_A;*;_N;_-PURGE;_R;*;_N;_-PURGE;_Z;_AUDIT;_Y;_-SCALELIST;_R;_Y;;_-PURGE;_A;*;_N;_-OVERKILL;_ALL;;;_FILTERS;

After that, perform _MAPCLEAN to optimize the drawing geometry.

The very last goal should be a topology, either polygonal or networked.
