Disappearing Toolbars in Map 6

Since switching from Map 5 to 6 a couple of months ago I have been having a
couple of rather strange problems. The first is that every once in a while
Map will start up without any toolbars displayed. The menus have all loaded
properly but I have to go in and maually reselect all of my toolbars to
display them; this includes the Standard toolbar (New, Open, Save, etc) and
the Object Properties toolbar along with all of my other personalized bars.
The second problem I am having is that the dimensions of my sheet of paper
are not always being shown properly in my layouts. When I have a look at
the page setup I will have one sheet selected but my layout will actually be
displaying a different one. The only work around I have found to fix it is
to change the sheet selection to something else in my page setup, close the
page setup dialog box, reopen page setup and reset my sheet back to the
original size. Sure this works and really isn't all that difficult, but it
seems so unnecessary.

Can anybody give me an idea as to what might be going on with either or both
of these two issues?

Win XP Pro
P4 - 1.6 GHz
1 Gig RAM
NVIDIA Vanta graphics card
