There is an AutoCAD setting that controls when deleted objects are purged
from an existing drawing. This setting defaults to 50, meaning that when the
file size is reduced by 50%, deleted objects will be purged from the drawing
on a save operation. This allows for quick saves when you edit small
portions of your drawing.
To change this value, type ISAVEPERCENT at the command line and enter a
value less than 50 (like 0). Then save your drawing.
Note that ISAVEPERCENT is a system level setting so you may want to reset it
back to 50 after processing the desired drawings or all save operations on
all drawings will be affected.
Cheers,
Will
