DEMs for shaded relief with Map?

Can Map be used to create shaded relief maps? I've done this with ArcView,
but can't find any reference to 'shaded relief' in Map's help files. If
this is supported by Map, is it referred to as something else? It seems
this would be a Map function, but I have LD3 available for use as well.
Using Map5/LD3/XPpro. Thanks-

Hi Shawn,

Use LDD 3. It does a good job on shaded relief and imports. You can directly
create a terrain model from a DEM file without needing to import it first.

Shawn,

If you're using multiple DEMs as I do often, LDD will choke on it (I even
gave up doing it one at a time). Golden Software's "Surfer" program does an
excellent job of this. I don't believe LDD can create colored themes for a
shaded relief based upon elevation like Surfer can either. Hopefully a new
release of Map will take better advantage of government resources soon.

I really love how Map can create themes and color contour lines based upon
elevation though! The recent improvements in Map5 and 6 for this are
awesome!!!
