Cursor operation conflict error in Data View

What causes this error?
Cursor Operation Conflict
Error Code: 0x0900
SQLSTATE: 09000
and
Undefinded error code
Error Code: 0xCF01
SQLSTATE: C3841

I am using Map 6 with a DBF file.
This error occurs when I use the Spatial Filter and select
multiple objects.

This happens on multiple workstations in multiple environments
with Win2000 and XP
