Is there any chance to publish data / maps from AutoCad Map 3D 2012 to MapGuide - Open source map server ? Is there any support from Autodesk for this ?
Thank you !
Hi,
that should work if MapGuide OS is compatible to the Map version you are using. I'm not sure if the matrix here will tell you which version of Map works with MG OS:

But I suppose the FDO version used by both packages should be the same.

I'll try to install apropriate MapGuide. I can't find FDO provider for AutoCad Map 3D 2012 but we still have version 2012 so I'll start with that.
Thank you !
You are right - I didn't notice that. Just post your question to the MGOS discussion list as well if no one else can help here.

I know for this forum. I have already registred there because I have problems with displaying raster data in MapGuide OS. Thanks for advice.
If you're talking about the MAPPUBLISHTOMAPGUIDE command, it probably does a major.minor site version check against the MapGuide server you're publishing to as a way to check if it will recognise the requests that the publisher will send to it.
In which case, the current stable version of MGOS (2.2) probably won't work from Map 2012 as it will probably be expecting AIMS 2012 (2.3) at a minimum. It may work with the 2.4 RC1 release (don't have Map 2012, can't confirm)

Hi greg_sk!
You can publish to MapGuide Open Source 2.2 with Map 2011, but not with 2012. Just tried it, seems to work just fine. In my experience if MapGuide Studio can connect to a given version of Open Source Mapguide, then Map can publish data to it.
