Ok got it now, The ESRI SDE is running on a SQL Server. You still need to
access it with the SDE connections, if you do not have that on the 64 bit
system then I would say there is not FDO Provider for SDE in 64 bit yet.
Looks like it's time to log on to your subscription site and log a request.

The connection to the database worked on my "old" computer - AutoCAD 2010
32-bit Windows XP Professional. I recently upgraded to a new new computer -
Windows 7 64-bit. The list in the "Data Connetions by Provider" in the Data
Connection dialogue box no longer contains a connection to ArcSDE. I
believe what replaced that connection is "Add SQL Server Spatial
Connection". What was in the 32-bit AutoCAD 2010 is not in the 64-bit
AutoCAD. The database is already setup and maintained by ArcGIS not
AutoCAD.
