Hi PL,
If you have OD attached to the centroid objects for
both of the topologies you want to overlay, it should allow you to reference
this data for the resulting overlay topology.
Here is an example.
Create polygon topology TopoA.
Create polygon topology TopoB.
Define OD table TopoA.
Define OD table TopoB.
Attach OD record for TopoA table to TopoA
centroid.
Attach OD record for TopoB table to TopoB
centroid.
Perform an overlay operation that overlays TopoA on
top of TopoB. (TopoB is source and TopoA is overlay.)
I used Intersect as the overlay
operation.
Choose the "Source Data..." button.
Select the TopoB OD table and field(s) you want to
get into the resulting overlay.
Fill in the Destination Data with the name of
an OD table you want to populate during the overlay operation. (I used a new OD
table - Overlay_AB)
Next, choose the
"Overlay Data..." button.
Select the TopoA OD table and field(s) you want to
get into the resulting overlay.
Fill in the Destination Data with the
same OD table you used for the source data as you want the info to land in
the same place.
(Be sure to set the layer the new topology will be
created upon so it will be easy to get at the new centroid
objects.)
Run the overlay.
Now look at the OD created on the centroids of the
new polygons.
You should see OD data from both source and
overlay.
Good luck, I know it is a bit
complicated.

I
posted a question quite some time ago about overlaying one topology on
another. The problem is I can't get the info from both sets of polygons to
appear in the object data.
We were told by our CAD dealer that AutoCAD map can replace ArcCAD for GIS
calculations. This is the only thing we have not been able to
do.
