My firm does quite a bit of parcel mapping here in WI. We're in the process
of responding to a proposal for a rather large project. A significant
number of scanned documents (deeds, surveys, etc.) exist w/in this county
and would be provided to us if we are the winning contractor. Has anyone
out there had any experience using UCLID's IcoMap software (www.uclid.com)?
For those unfamiliar with the product, it enables the user to take TIFF
files of land record documents and "character recognizes" bearing and
distance text. That text is verified by a technician and the corresponding
linework is drawn w/in AutoCAD. I've seen and worked with their earlier
version but haven't tried it in quite a few years.
Any insight would be very helpful.
