Topology Element ID from a Closed Polyline

I'm a newbie at both MAP and customizing MAP.  I'm having a little trouble with data access.  I have successfully created a Topology and then created closed Polylines from it with the option to copy the Centroid data to the polyline.  The Centroid data shows up when I select the polyline using "Edit Object Data".

I want to retrieve the Element ID from the polyline so I can reference the centroid and its data.  Since there is obviously an association between the two somewhere, how do I extract this field?

Did you check the following TopologyModel:: GetEntityId Method -> Retrieves the object ID of the AutoCAD entity associated with the specified topology element ID in the current drawing or source drawing.
