Creating a Map Query in VB.NET

How does one set up a map query in VB.NET to query from close polyline boundary and a specific layer set?

I know I would have to create two QueryBranches joined with "AND" and then define and excute it, my problem is creating the queryunits to create the branch. Anyone have a piece of sample VB code showing the steps to create a QueryUnit and then the QueryBranch?
