How do i get my xref's to hold the same layer properties in a drawing the xref is in as the xref. for Ex: drawing 102 has a floorplan xrefd into it. i make all the colors of the xref grey, but when i go to 102 some layers have taken their own color, not grey. How do i get the layers to match that of the xref?

Type in VISRETAIN. It should be set to 1. Set it to 0 and do a regen command. If it works set your visretain back 1. Once a Xref is pathed tinto a drawing the colors wont change if they have been altered after the Xref is pathed into the drawing. In order for the color change to be picked up the visretain needs to be set 0. Hope this helps.

thank you. This did help, I knew the command at one time but had forgotten it. Thanks again.
