missing items in MEP catalog

We have installed 2012 MEP and are experiencing problems inserting some items from the catalogs that are pre-loaded in MEP. Items such as the cabinetry and furniture are not working. We are new to the MEP software and weren't sure if maybe that was just something that didn't come with it. If so, why is it there? When we try to drop it in our drawing, we get an error stating it can't find a cerain directory. We manually searched for that path, and it doesn't exist.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean

The cabinetry and furniture are architectural items so I believe that when you install MEP you have to tell it to also install the Autocad Architectural stuff also. You can install it after the initial install by going to your control panel and reruning the setup for Autocad MEP. Then make sure to select Autocad Architecture to install also. While you are at it, you should make sure to install the classic Autocad profile and the express tools too.
If this is not your problem then I am at a loss as to what could be wrong. The cabinetry and the furniture are from the tool catalogs which I cannot remember if those are present in strictly a MEP install or not. But you should make sure to not confuse tool catalogs with the part catalogs. They are two seperate animals. The tool catalogs are mostly palette based if that helps any.
