    Hello:

This sounds excelent. Quick question? What is the size(MBs) of this library
you've created. If it is with in reason I can share some pace in my Website.
    Let me know.

    Thanks,

    Hey guys,
Someone mentioned Butterfly valves. I ran into the same problem. I was
working on a central utility plant design and piping that is up to 30" in
diameter. I noticed that the standard ABS catalog was defined in an *.xml
file but it only went to size 12".

I wound up creating a supplementary catalog that was custom sizes; 14" up to
30" butterfly valves. I drew each of the valves in solid modeling from the
manufacture cut sheets with proper dimensions and all of that, then I
    defined the MVbl
ock views from that 3D model of each of the valves.

The cool thing about this is that each of the valves was not just a MVPart,
it had the connectors defined at the appropriate lengths and the schematic
symbols looked right and the top views were standard 2 line, but the best
part was that I found a few interferences (valve handle) that I normally
would not have seen if it was just regular 2D drafting.

    Custom content? Hell yeah!
Valuable to others? Possibly some day.
Should this be shared? I wo
    uld like to think so.

Not only that, but I also had to draw the following:
    ? Custom Chillers
    ? Custom Cooling Towers
    ? Custom Air Handlers
    ? Custom Air Compressors
    ? Custom Expansion Tanks
    ? Custom Split Case Pumps
    ? Custom Air Separators
    ? Custom VFD's
    ? Custom Electrical Pull Boxes
    ? Custom 55 Gallon drums
    ? Custom Diesel Generators
    ? Custom Radiators

The list goes on and on. I realize that I might be using some of these
items in future projects and that I should organize my drawings
a little better. But there is a lot of content that I made. I could share
it, if there was a place to put it all.

Okay, if you are talking about the custom size Butterfly Vavle catalog, it's less then 1 meg.

If you are talking about the other items, I would have to calculate that. Right now as it stands the first floor of my model alone is about 7 MB. But that includes a lot of piping, and HVAC that is pretty memory intenseive. If I had to guess I would say that those custom items I drew are probably about 2-4 MB.

Email me if you are serrious:

    Hello,

The catallog is what I was referring to. The parts that you've developed. I
could post them on my website for anybody to download. That is if you would
    like to share it.

    Thank you in advance.

    Roberto,

I would be interested in this also. I am just getting my feet wet with Building systems and find the lack of parts frustrating. I am going to a class to learn how better to develop the parts but it is waste if they are already out there.
