MULTIPLE LAYERS IN A LABEL??

First off, so that you all understand, I do not like engineers. they love to use the phrase...."just so x or y...". GRRRR.
Now that is off my chest the question:
One of my engineers wants to show duct size on one drawing and with the same layout the duct size adn top and bottom elevations.
I currently have a label that has the duct size and the system abbreviation, then the TOD then BOD. My pipe is similar but with insulation shown on the last line.
I need to be able to turn elevations offf and retain the duct size. Any ideas? The only idea I have thus far is to enable the auto-label feature for one time per duct size leaving that on one labe and then use an elevation label on a different label.
I would like to have both functions in one step/block if possible.

Let me see if I understand what you want.
I assume that you are using an MVBlock for your label with the multiple properties that you want to display and what you would like is some automatic way to turning off the display of one or more of those properties. If that is the case, then I don't think that there is a solution for you. The best that I can suggest is that you create two labels, one with the overall set of properties and another with the subset of properties. Then you can simply pick the labels to change and change the style of the labels from one to the other to change what is displayed in the model.
If I misunderstood, let me know and I'll try again to help.

It is possible to place all of your information into one label but when you create the label, make sure that each piece of information that you want to isolate is on a seperate layer. When you freeze or turn off that layer, only the information in that layer will turn off and the rest of the label will still show.
This will work, however I don't believe that it is a good solution. The correct solution would be as the previous poster mentioned would be to have different labels that did different things. You could tag everything with a single label and afterwards select all the labels that you wish to have more or less information and change to the new label all at once.
