After making some templates, I ran into some problems with my diffusers. When I insert them into a dwg. started with the template, the diffusers don't break around the flex duct above. I think I chan ged some option somewhere.
Secondly if I insert a diffuser and want to change how the part is displayed in plan view only.
- Can I just create a new block and use this block as in place of the one originally define in the views tab of the MVpart.

- If the above is true which view name do I substitute my new block under (ex. Schematic, 1 Line - Top, 2 Line - Top)

The fact that Haloed lines aren't working could be any number of things.

There are some settings on the Building Systems Crossed objects tab in
options that control the display of haloed lines. The display of these lines
is also dependant on some layers in the template (M-Halo-High, M-Halo-Subd).
The system definitions also have overrides applied to them so that the
"hidden" linework will be drawn on the correct layer.

If you want to change the display of the diffuser then you can edit the top
view block, either in the template, or in the part definition in the
catalog. Which of the definitions you need to edit depends on what views you
will be using. The default view (in the template that shipped with the
product) for MvParts is 2 Line and in the ABS Floor view, if you are in plan
you are looking at the Top view, so you would edit the view block that
applies to 2 Line - Top.

In my templates the layers M-Halo-High and M-Halo-Subd either are deleted or purged out. How do I get them Back

If the layers aren't there, then the problem is somewhere else. If the
systems are set up correctly, you won't be able to delete the layers, as
they would be in use. You can create the layers with layer manager, but they
still won't be used unless you have the systems set up correctly. Take a
look at how the HVAC systems are configured in the shipping template
(especially the display properties -> Haloed Lines override configuration)
for some idea of how this works.

Thanks, I have the Haloed line woring properly in ductwork, piping, etc. Is there a way I can globally change the color / linetype, etc. like you can in the system definition for ductwork, of the haloed lines in a MVpart with out editing each separate MVpart.

Ex. My Haloed lines for my MVpart come in on the same color as defined by the layer / Layer keys

The MvParts are defined to draw their "haloed lines" portions on a specific
layer. If you go to Format -> Display Manager -> Representations by
Object -> Multi-View Part then right click the 2-Line display rep and select
Edit Drawing Default... you will get a view dialog. This dialog sets what
layer the "haloed" portion of the MvParts displays on (all parts, not one by
one, unless a specific style has an override applied to it). In the template
that shipped with the product this is set to M-Halo-High. You can change
this to whatever layer you like, then control the color / linetype of the
MvPart Haloes by changing this layer.
