    Demo Layer Plotting incorrectly

Can someone tell me what is going on here in MEP2013? My demo duct layer is showing up correctly in model space, but when I switch over to my layout to plot...the screen is rotating the demo hash lines from 45 degrees to 90 degrees (straight up/down). I have the weirdest things happening ever since I switched to 2013. Any help to correct this would be appreciated.demo layer.png

Is your paperspace viewport set to use a different display?  For example:  MEP Design versus MEP Basic 2-line?

Are you using an older MEP template with 2013?  Would you post a sample dwg?  The display controls the hatch orientation, so if they are different between model and paperspace, the orientation could be different.

    Hope this helps,

    Joshua

Yes ... I just had a conversation with Joshua... as we made the same post to subscription support.

You can get around this issue in two ways... one is to remove the Annotation check box in the Hatch Tab of the Duct Plan Display Rep that is being used in your display configuration.

The other is to set the angle to 22.5... I know it does make any sense... it will be incorrect on the model tab, but look & plot correctly on the layout tab.

I believe Joshua is logging it as a defect to be checke into.

Yes.  We now have our developers looking into this.  The solution for now, is to uncheck the "Annotation Scaling" checkbox on the Hatch tab of the object display components.  See attached image.

    Hope this helps,

    Joshua

I have tried both options suggested and neither is working. I opened up my 2012 version to see what the settings were on that one (as it is working correctly) and there is no annotative tab for 2012 under hatching. I have even gone to a new drawing and this is only happening on the demo layer in plan space. If I just do a plot off my model space it shows up correctly but then I am missing all my other documents off my plan view. So I would have to say its something corrupt in the logic in the plan space with the hatching. I am about ready to uninstall and reinstall the program and see if it fixes the glitch. It sucks because I can't even open up some of the work I have in 2012 and make it look correct because of the backwards incompatibility from 2013.

    See the attached.

Depending on whether your Display is controled at the Duct Style Level or globally at the Drawing Level.
