Please fix the reducing elbow option in mep 2013. If this opton is selected while drawing pipe, every bend you try to make mep 2013 thinks it should be a reducing elbow even if you haven't selected a different pipe diameter. The same thing will happen if you try to draw a branch off of a pipe run, the choose a part dialog appears with no branch fitting options only reducing elbows of multible part types. Mep 2012 draws pipe perfectly with the reducing elbow option selected and will use the reducing elbow when pipe diameters are changed. I hope this could be a hot fix I sure would hate to have to wait for the first service pack to correct this issue.

I think it expects you to change the property to not use a reducing elbow after you draw the reducing elbow. This setting is how the software differentiates between your desire to put in a straight transition, a straight elbow plus transition fitting, or a single reducing elbow. It is designed so that you set it back to plain elbow when not roughing in a reducing elbow. You are defining exactly what you want. Do you want a reducing elbow or a plain elbow? I can see a need to default to plain elbow. So when you want a reducing elbow, you change the setting and once drawn, it changes back to plain. Maybe some setting to define a default preference in Pipe Preferences. Log a wish request at the feedback site:

As a plumbing designer I us 4" x 3" reducing closet bends quite often, I have been able to work around this 2013 modification that differs from the mep 2012 release, but it has slowed down my drawing speed considerably having to access the properties pallet every time I use a reducing closet bend. I'm still hoping this may be just an oversight and will soon function like mep 2012.

It does behave different between 2012 and 2013. I see that now, thank you for bringing it to our attention. It is now in the developers hands. They are aware, and are working to address the change in behavior.
