    AutoCAD Strange freezing over network

One of our clients has a very strange issue. AutoCAD MEP when editing a file over the network, the program freezes and over time it fills up all available RAM on the machine. This happens on both of their drafting PCs (one running XP32, another running W764) copying the files onto the local drive fixes the problem. It appears like there is no network traffic between the PC and the Server. however while CAD is frozen we can ping the server successfully and there is no change in speeds.

Whats really strange about this is that this issue only begins at 12:00pm, pretty much on the dot every day, and lasts a few hours. at other times during the day there is no issues with working with files across the network. We have already investigated possible server side issues, but so far there doesn't seem to be anything that would cause this at the specifc time each day.

If anyone has any thoughts on this issue I would appriate it. Thanks!

this is very interesting. We've been dealing with the same symptoms for a while. We've chalked most of it up to "user perception" but your post seems to bring more light to it.
