Devices in Elevation

All of the Electrical Devices in Building Systems 2004 can be Shaded and
Hidden in the Object Viewer, the AecCreateHLR command can see the Electrical
Devices and create static Elevations. But when using the
BldgElevationLineGenerate command on the Electrical Devices they will not
show up. This seems so crazy to me...No Display Rep under the sun will fix
this from what I can tell. At this point I must update all of the Electrical
Devices and add Solids to them to make them show in Elevation, OUCH!

In the next version can we please FIX THIS! Also make sure the devices have
logical insertions. All Panels should insert from the Top, currently it is
from the bottom (typically you install panels so the tops are all inline
with each other, the bottoms vary). Switches and Receptacles should all
insert from the Center, currently it is a mixed bag. The Add Device
Justification should be more Z oriented than X and Y. It is nice to have X
and Y but Z should be part of the option too.

A wish that might be too much but would be nice. When doing a Multiple
Branch Circuit the Wire itself should know that it belongs to one Circuit
instead of showing all of them. That way I can label the wire to show
someone where the multiple branch starts in plan. My work around currently
is labeling the devices, it works but I would rather do the wire. The
installer is typically always looking at the Wire to see what is going on
not the Device.

Stepping off soap box now, Jarod
