I work for a Low Voltage company and I have been able to make Autocad MEP do the take offs of new jobs. It gives us the counts and Footages of all the runs. Right now i have to use the electrical panel because there is not a telecommunication panel. If Autocad would be able to add ion an option for a 48 port patch panel and a 24 port patch panel that would be great. Also right now i need to circut every drop one by one because every location is homeruned back to the Patch Panel. If there was a option to auto circut the devices that would be awesome. the longest part of the takeoff process is connecting every location to its own port on the panel.
