"Not Responding" with EVERY command!

MEP 2013 running on windows 8 and every command it takes at least 15 seconds longer than it should since I get "Not Responding" to every command.

8G RAM, 2.4GHz i7, 2G Nvidia Geforce GTX 670mx

Just loaded SP2.

Any ideas?

Was it working before you installed SP2?
Was it every working in Win8?

"not responding" is WIndows/Microsoft being helpful and letting you know AutoCAD is busy doing something like search through a dead link or missing server file location or missing/unplugged USB, or tapping your plugged in iPhone, or a host of other possibilities.

As a test, disconnect from the netowkr/Internet and try again, see if the problem goes away.
