We just got our ABS4 and was wondering if we can load it side by side with ABS3. We know we can do it with ADT4, but not ABS4. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, probably recommended to install it that way. In their wonderful thinking to make your work harder, I mean more productive, for some reason they've hidden all your menus in 2004 and don't tell you where they went. So you'll need to reference back to Bldg Sys 3 to remember where the items were before so you have at least some idea how to try and look it up in the 2004 help files.

Hi Jody -

You can restore the ABS 3 and ADT menus by
navigating to Window -> Pulldowns.  The new UI, common across
ACAD/ADT/ABS takes a little getting used to but almost everyone ultimately
agrees it is much better.  I have to admit that I do find myself using the
command line more though...

I hope this helps!

Don't get me wrong, the new layout may ultimately be better. But a roadmap from where it was in Bldg Sys3 to 2004 would be helpful for those trying to maintain project schedules. Shuffling the deck on menus without instructions on the new where abouts or access means is always a frustration point when learning new software.

Yes, it should work fine to install ABS3 and
ABS2004 side by side.

Hi Jody -

The UI poster in the box should be helpful to
you...
