I just upgraded from MEP 2010 to 2013 a few weeks ago and I am having an issue with XREFS. I can set up a new drawing and get my background and titleblock in but anything more than 2 xrefs and I just get an invalid error and it won't load anymore. It blips on the screen like it has been inserted then its disappears and I just get the invalid error. I have tried saving some of the Xrefs to my desktop instead of the server thinking maybe there is a link issue. Is there a setting in the options that regulates the amount of XRefs you can retain in a single drawing? Any help would be appreciated. It's getting tedious creating blocks from the drawings I would like xref'd and dropping them into my drawing and freezing and unfreezing them.

Are you aware that 2013 was a file format change? Were the xref files created in a prior release, or were they also created in 2013?

The architect I work with uses CAD architecture 2010. If this is a file issue I dont see why Autdesk would create this incompatibility and not allow you to Xref in an older .dwg.
This is a known issue with all the 2013 products (http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-2013/xrefs-not-loading/td-p/3397393), and was specifically addressed in Autocad 2013 SP1.1... when is the service pack or patch for MEP coming out that includes this?
