Pipe Slope

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to change the slope of a pipe already drawn ?

Looking at previous massages (up to 2007) I can see that the question was asked and no answer.

Perhaps Autodesk people will answer?

Thanks

The only way to change the slope of a pipe already drawn is the change the start or end elevation of the pipe on the properties palette.  This can be quite cumbersome if you need to change several pipes and fittings in a run.  Your best bet is to delete and redraw.

I was afraid of that answer. I do not understand. This is a major issue during design process.

I confirm what kbrown said, it needs to be redrawn because all attached fittings now need to adjust for that slope angle and do not adjust automatically.

I do believe that a means to change the slope automatically would be very helpful to have in the program, and feel that you raise a very good case for enhancing the product.

If you would take the time to go here:

This is a feedback page where customers can make suggestions. This page is monitored by product managers who affect real change and this request can go a long way in changing the product for the better.

To whom it may concern,

I came across this post from 2011 regarding pipe slope and was wondering if any enhancements have been made since then.  I am currently using AC MEP 2021 and have not been able to figure out a practical way to adjust slope on pipe that has already been drawn.

Thank you,

Joseph

Honestly, Sloped Pipe in almost all CAD softwares/Plug-Ins are not the easiest. MEP is the best I've seen. That is, however, knowing FabMEP may draw easier, but looks like dog poop and Revit is still IMO better for engineers and the design team. I will be making a YouTube channel playlist soon on drawing Sloped pipe. You'll see the work-arounds and it won't be bad at all. I fly now. A lot of years of frustration in that though lol
