MEP Content randomly disappears.

Hi,

I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2014 SP1 and sometimes the MEP content (pipes, fittings, equipment, etc.) all disappear from the catalog. I try to regenerate the catalog but nothing happens. The  only way for the content to reappear is to restart autocad...

Has this ever happened to you?

I have not heard of this happening before. When you say that the catalog is showing as empty, is that when trying to place new components? What happens if you pick on an existing part and select Modify? Is it still showing blank? 

Is this drawing specific or is it happening with any drawing?

Is the content on a local drive or on a network drive?

I would recommend checking your files for corruption by running RECOVER on the files and trying a Repair on the installation. To do this, open the control panel -> select Uninstall a Program -> select AutoCAD MEP 2014 ->  select Uninstall/Change -> select Repair or Reinstall and select Repair.

1 - It's showing blank after I click modify on an existing part

2 - It's happening in any drawing

3 - The content is on a local drive

Will the repair installation delete my custom settings?
