Ok we have just noticed that the Lines Merge option of any printer including the one that came with AutoCAD MEP 2014 does not work. We went back to our AutoCAD MEP 2013 and all is well.
We thought well if its a driver issue the DWG to PDF driver from AutoCAD should work right? Nope it does not.
What happened in 2014?
Just wondering,
Ken
This is a known issue that has been present for several releases. The current workaround if you need to use the Lines Merge feature is to plot to DWF instead, and print the file using Design Review. The problem only shows itself with PDF files.
linesmerge works with civil 3d 2012 latest service pack using dwgtopdf.pc3 or whatever it's called.
if all else fails, create plot files and use CADZATIONS acroplot pro to convert plt to pdf.. because their printer driver ACTUALLY WORKS, and it's well known that autodesk cough cough took a look at cadzations to make their own so says the rumor.
