Format Options AEC Bldg Sys Elevations Transfer?

In one drawing I setup my various elevations in the Format Options AEC Bldg Sys Elevations tab. When I open another drawing the elevations are not available within the 2nd drawing. I went to style manager to see if I could just pull the elevations across but there is no such option. How is this suppose to be done? I thought all settings within Format Options would be carried over to all drawings?

Hi,

You could carry the setting to all drawing by
modify .dwt file. Here is the steps:

Click Open icon \ change 'Files of type' to Drawing
template (*.dwt) \ browse and find the template file, e.g. 'Aecb Building System
Model (Imperial - ctb) 4.dwt. (the template file is under C:\Ducuments and
Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Autodesk \ Autodesk Building
Systems 2004 \R16.0 \ enu \Template) \ open \ options \ setting your elevation
in Building System Elevation tab \ OK \ close and save the
template.

Thanks.

Qi is correct. You should create everything you
want standard in your Template. I don't know of any way to transfer them over.
One note to you though, when you are in the options area keep in mind that
anything with the blue AutoCAD mark by it mean that information resides only in
that drawing file and that setting does not carry over any other drawings/cad
session. If you want it to be maintained in all your drawings, you made that
modification to your template file, and then it is always there as long as you
start your drawings using that template file.
