Display Control Question - Clarification

It has been awhile since I've been involved with ABS - Since R1, actually,
and I am getting back up to speed on it. I have a question concerning ducts,
duct styles and systems regarding display control

Typically ADT display control works with a 3-level heirarchy - Default,
overriden by Style, overriden by Object.

With ABS system definitions, it appears that a 4th level is inserted -
Default, overriden by SYSTEM, overriden by Style, overriden by Object. Is
that correct?

Hi Matt,

You should not see the System as a fourth level in the display hierarchy
that are above the Style in the hierarchy. I would rather say that the
System override is used instead of the Style and Object override. As long as
you don't override the display on the Style or Object the display settings
from the System are used. But if you override the display on the Style or
Object the normal ADT hierarchy is used and the System display settings are
ignored.

I hope I manage to clarify how it works...

Hi Bo,
I am customizing BS2004 for a customer. I agree with your assesment of the use of System definitions and I'm using them to define Low presure, Supply, and other systems. This gives me the opportunity to setup disp. reps for different types of ducting without having to define disp props for each style of duct. However I cannot get the display props for duct fittings to correspond to the change in System. I don't see any controls for defining disp props for duct fittings. Any suggestions??

Let me clarify my last statement. I have been tweaking the display reps for duct fittings and custom duct fittings. I just can't get them to coorespond with the duct System definition.
