Copy problems

Using Autodesk Building Systems I have a few VAV boxes that I would like to be able to just copy around instead of using the Insert Mechanical Equipment tab. I can copy ducts and text and such but when I try to copy a VAV box I get the following prompt. As far as I can tell I havent changed any snap settings. I even try to type in a distance such as 5' and still the block doesnt go where I want it to.

Select objects:
Specify base point or displacement, or [Multiple]: Specify second point of
displacement or

Thanks for any help.

Unless I'm mistaking your issue, the prompt is asking you to enter a
start point, (left click your mouse button) to a finish point, (left
click your mouse button). Similar to moving any other autocad entity.

Thats not the problem. The problem is...if I left click the mouse as my start point...then I move the mouse up the screen to left click my detsination point....the object doesnt go where it want it to. It puts a copy of the block right on top of itself no matter where I click on the screen. I cant mirror or move it either. It's a problem with the block itself I have found.
