Building Systems Export to 2000

When I export to 2000 the xref is bound to the file. Is there a way around this? I need to keep them separate for future xref background updates.

A workaround for this problem would
be:

When the xref becomes bound, is becomes a block in
that drawing with the xref's name. When the xref gets updated all you need
do is insert it as a block. To redefin a block in a drawing,
type

size=2>-insert       you will get a promp for the
block name.     Type

block name=     The = will
redefine and update the block to the latest version of the
xref.

Hope this made sence to you.

Chris Yanchar has another procedure for saving back to 2000 format which
will maintain the xref's, but the Aec Objects will go back as proxy objects.

1) Create a new profile that has 'Demand load of ObjectARX apps' set to
'Command Invoke'.
2) Create a new program icon that runs with this profile and doesn't have
the ADT template switch or the \ld switch in it.

Now when you launch using this icon, be sure not to run any Aec commands and
you should be able to saveas 2000.
