Autocad MEP air grille creattion

Benoist Sir,

I know your good in this. can you send me any reference that i can easyly create an air griille object that will varies to different sizes automatically. Beacause my company have a project from qatar that i need to model all hvac duct including air registers for the purpose of importing to Elite software, so that engineers dont have to manually pick objetcs from Elite software default. It will automacally run and read the whole duct system with the sizes and air flows that will generate a report table with calculation values etc. ('that looks great for design calculation persfective") The calculation softwares only read autocad AMEP 2012. I have AMEP 2013 and RMEP 2013 but we have decided to use AMEP 2012 because  we had it test run and works perfectly only problem were facing is that AMEP dont have this large sizes of  air grilles and louvers.

Oopps... almost forgot objetct must be AEC like the contents from AMEP so that Elite calculation software will recognize and read the system.

Any advice or suggestion form other forum reders is very much welcome

Thanks in advance...

Louis,

Here is a link to my AU Class where I teach how to use Content Builder to make any parametric part.  Hope this helps.

I know it's not the same as making the part for you.  After you watch my class and read the handout, as you go to make the air grille part, if any questions come up, feel free to reply here.

Thanks Sir,

@ least I will be having ideas how to work around. But theres another issue we ecountered along the work process other team members engrs. and drafters opened the finished models in AcadMEP 2013 & AcadLT 2013. that means the models is no longer editable in Acad MEP 2012 version and no longer will run again by the Elite software for calculation in case there will be some revisions on the Duct layout.

Is there anyway to down grade this model files or any aother work around?
