ADT Setup

How do I set my environment to be only ADT? Do I create a profile with a Desktop Icon which would load the ADT environment?

Hi Al,

Yes, but you should already have a profile called
Architectural Desktop that you can use. You can copy your ABS 2004 desktop icon
change it. Change the /p argument to "Architectural Desktop", the /t
argument to a template file that you want to use.

Thanks, Bo, but the next question is when I try to place a wall from the Design pull down menu the Wall dialog box does not pop-up, only the prompts on the command line. What's up?

Hi Al -

There is no wall dialog. All of the settings for the wall are now controlled
by the properties palette. If property palette isn't active in your profile,
Press Ctrl-1.

You should probably take a look at the ADT4 UI brain dump by Mark Webb. You
should be able to get a copy at
http://www.stardsign.com/BrainDumps/2004/The%20ADT%202004%20User%20Interface
.pdf (watch for wrapping)

Jason,

Thanks, I checked out the Properties box and I like it. I've downloaded the PDF's and I'll be reading.
