created a 3d Invensys T-stat. The origin is placed on the back of the t-stat
so that it mounts flush to the wall. My plan view 2d display will be the
regular old t-stat, (a circle with a T in it). Depending on which wall I snap
to, the orientation is now critical to make sure the 3d t-stat is mounted
flush to the wall. Is there a way to make the text "T" come in horizontal,
regardless of the rotation the Mvpart is inserted 0,90,180,270 degrees? The
other option would be to create 4 different t-stat orientations (l-wall,
r-wall, n-wall, s-wall) to make sure the 3d orientation of the thermostat and
2d "T" are proper. How does autodesk propose to get around this? Not to
mention the T-stats that come with the software are in the electrical portion
and do not have 3d displays. Yes there is power going to a t-stat, but t-stats
are mechanical devices. They need to be under the mechanical catalog. The
drawings will just have to be crossed linked or something for circuiting
purposes.
