45 Degree Round Duct Tee

Is there a way to change the takeoffs on a 90 degree tee to 45 degrees. This was a default part in Softdesk 8 but now Autocad says it's a custom part. I'm not too familiar with creating parametric parts so I'm looking for the easiest way of doing this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Todd -

Unfortunately there are no lateral tees for ductwork (I assume we're talking
about ductwork). The only solution would be to build these parts with
content builder 😞

I have tried to build one but for some reason I can't get anything but a 90 degree takeoff.

Todd -

The 90 degree tees have a perpendicular constraint
on the center line of the branch.  If you used the part as a basis to
make your new tee, you probably didn't know this and thus that constraint is
overiding the values you have in the list for the branch angle.

Just to be clear - you are referring to tees and
not takeoffs, right?  Takeoffs can be placed on a duct at any
angle.

I hope this helps!

Yes I am talking about tees.
Is there a way to delete the constraint? I have tried building a parametric part but I still come up with 90 degree laterals.

Hi Toddn -

Can you send me the three files that make up your
new part?

Thanks!

Todd -

This shows on the newsgroup side of the groups but not on the web
side.
