crashing again

Program crashes when loading
I had this problem before and had to reload the program to fix it. Don't
want to reload it every month
One thing I see before it crashes is that it can't load "AECDCARCH30.ARX"
Any body have any ideas what I can do short of reloading it again
Thanks

Hi John -

The AecDCArch30.arx file is design center. It looks like design center is
crashing for some reason on start up. Since the status of the design center
window is based on the current profile you "might" be able to basically
"delete" your profile and start with a fresh one to keep from having to
re-install.

Do you by chance remember what you were doing in design center last time you
opened building systems 3 successfully?

Jason

I believe I was getting schedule tags.
I have 4 profiles (Hvac,Electrical,Plumbing, and the combined one )
I reloaded the program files (add and remove in the control panel) and that
seemed to fix things still using the same profiles
This is the second time this has happened where I have had to reload program
files from the cd
Thanks
John

Hi John,

The issue may be that DesignCenter is trying to load on startup. The
attached reg file will delete the DC history key. Cross your fingers, import
the reg file and then launch the product.

Note that the reg file will only work for English ABS3. For other languages
you'll need to browse to the indicated key and delete it.

John, please respond if this works so we can make a tech solution for this.

Thanks,

Rick

Hi John -

You should be able to just open up the zip file that Rick attached then
double click the reg file inside of it. You should get a prompt about
something being added to the registry, just click OK on it and let us know.

works
