what is the best available book for MEP. I know of some good Revit Books that have you design a project from beginging to end using and learning Revit. Does such a book for MEP exist. I am looking to better my skills on this software, I find these types of click and read books very effective. Please let me know if you know of any.
Thanks

Try "Mastering AutoCAD MEP 2010" (2011, 12 or 13) by Paul Aubin, Darryl McClelland, Martin Schmid & Gregg Stanley.

The same thing that Josh said. I went through that last year. I know everything that ACAD MEP is capable of, but I still find myself referencing it a lot. I'm actually working on something right now, with the book, but I had to hop on the forums to find out how to do something the book doesn't explain. What I'm wanting to do is either not available or an "advanced" customization that's not available out of the box.
So, what book did you end up getting? Like it?

I found a copy on Amazon and patiently waiting for it to arrive. I wish they had a version that is current the only one I was able to find was 2010. From there I can figure out what has changed from 2013. Basically just needed to have great direction with MEP. I find myself just using the parts that I need out of it and still getting lost. If any other books on this topic exist in current versions please link me.
Thanks
AutoCAD MEP 2010 helped me to learn the basic concepts needed for detailing in about 1 month. There is another book for 2012-2013 also, as our company just upgraded to 2013. Here is the link if you think this book would be helpful:
We buy step by step disks from cadlearning.com. They are relatively expensive, compared to a book, but they are chocked full of information and exercises. Each section can easily be jumped to if you need info in one area. I tend to learn better thru videos and these have really helped. They have disks for most Autodesk products.
Yes I have a cadlearning.com subscription and it feels to broken up. I often need to battle through the whole thing to under stand it. I also just got the aubin 2012-13 book in the mail finally after 3 darn weeks of shipping. If anyone has ever used an SDC publications book for revit they are really fantastic because it gives you the step by step on designing a house or building while teaching you how to use the program and all of its tools and methods. Since MEP is a bim program I just thought something like that would exist it seems rather niche.
Can I learn how to run AutoCad fabrication from the AutoCad mep books? Or is there a better book to learn AutoCad fabrication mep ?
