Piping Question

Is there anyway to give a command saying something as:

Anything under 2" is copper using a Brazed Elbow

and anything over 2" is sched 40 steel using a Welded Elbow

Its just a pain to constantly answer questions everytime you want to lay pipe

Thanks

Sure,  Just modify or create a new pipe routing preference with a 2nd size range.

On the Manage tab, select Pipe Routing Preferences from the Style Manager dropdown.  Right-click on "Brazed Copper" and "Copy".  Rename the new routing preference to something you'll recognize then change the upper size range to 2".  At the bottom, click "Add Size Range" then fill in all the parts you want to use for 2 1/4" and above.  Save and exit the Pipe Routing preferences, then switch to your newly created routing preference and lay pipe.

If you want to see an example of this routing preference - look at the Butt Welded and Socket Welded routing preference or the Grooved and Threaded routing preference.
