Hi everyone,
I am new here, but had a question nobody has actually been able to solve.
The company I work for is looking at doing accurate representations of Cable Tray on the pipe skids we produce.
We currently use CadWORX to design all of the 3D models.
I am looking for something that can work with CadWORX, or AutoCAD Electrical, such a plugin of somesort.
I currently use AutoCAD Electrical for my job, but I have been given the task to model the cable tray paths and ensure that pipe is properly routed around the trays.
Is there anything that can let me do both of these things?
Some options I've looked into is Bently Raceway, not sure if it can integrate with AutoCAD specifically.
Also Revit, but I think purchasing a program for one function is a little backwards.
As well as SmartPlant, but again, it must interface with our CadWORX programs, which can obviously be exported to a .dwg and worked on in AutoCAD.
Regards,
Chase
Look into Cadworx Electromod. My company is currently looking into it. Contains cadworx compliant blocks for cable tray and other things as well.
