Autocad MEP 2012 - /p switch doesn't work

I have made new profiles and saved them out to the hard drive.  Then I changed the /p switch in the target line of the icons to point to the saved profiles but it never reads the profile.

Anyone else experienced this?

Where did you save these files exactly, your post is vague.
Also post a screenshot of your full Target line and popup.

Here is the target line:

"C:\SE_apps\AutoCAD MEP 2012\acad.exe" /ld "C:\SE_apps\AutoCAD MEP 2012\AecBase.dbx" /p "C:\Autodesk Profiles\MEP2012_32 Starter.arg"

It is the same path that I have used for years.

Is the profile name in options typed EXACTLY as you have it in the /P target?

cut and pasted the path and filename so they are identical.

I'm wondering if maybe there a problem with the profiles so I'm building a new one now.
