AutoCAD MEP 2013 and Catalog Migratation

Is is recommended to walk through the drawing files that house our custom catalogs? ... for parametric and for block based mvpart?

2013 has a new file format. What I am asking is... is it necessary to open and save to 2013 format all the dwg files to that hold the parametric and block based mvparts?  Also, the fittings, etc?

Good question.  Make a copy of your custom catalog, and update the copied files to 2013 file format.  Keep the 2012 custom catalog separate from 2013, and it's probably good to make a copy of the 2012 catalog as a backup anyway.

HTH,
